The case study earns its New Capability tag because Strike Graph could not launch their MCP server at all without a trusted authentication layer, and building one from scratch was impractical for a lean team. The before-state is concrete: no standardized way to authenticate AI agents, engineering hours threatened to derail roadmaps. The Efficiency thread is real but secondary, framed around saved sprints rather than the core product unlock.
Anchor the before-state in an engineer's voice explaining exactly why the problem was hard ('Security and identity are an entire team's worth of full-time work') before introducing the solution. It makes the obstacle credible without relying on abstract claims.
