The story earns its Resilience tag by centering on a real crisis: a botnet that took the site down for a full day and a flood of user complaints that stopped only after the switch. The 30% CDN cost saving adds an Efficiency secondary layer but the headline and emotional payoff are about survival, not savings. The closing quote, zero frustrated-user emails as the best metric, is an unusually concrete way to humanize performance improvement without inventing a number.
Use a negative metric as the north star: 'those emails stopped' is more vivid than any throughput statistic and costs nothing to verify.
