Why it works

The story earns New Capability because Adobe built a Tableau integration from scratch before Collibra offered native connectors, meaning this was genuinely impossible through standard means at the time. The mechanism is described in enough technical detail that a reader could attempt it: definitions flow from Collibra into a MySQL table, surface in Tableau as a separate data source, and mouseover links route users back to Collibra. The 22% employee-population reach figure is specific and attributable, though the single customer quote is largely filler.

Steal this

The 'meet users where they are' framing: instead of training employees on a new tool, Adobe pushed definitions into tools people already used daily, which the case study quantifies with adoption figures. This before/after adoption structure is worth copying.
