The case study earns its Turnaround tag by showing an actively deteriorating situation: staff quitting, dashboards breaking for half a day each, and stakeholders routing around the team entirely. The human cost is named and concrete, which makes the recovery feel genuinely dramatic rather than routine. The efficiency gains (20% Snowflake cost cut, dashboards from months to a week) are real but secondary to the trust story the piece leads with.
Use internal NPS as the headline proof point for a team-reputation turnaround. A perfect score of 100 from named internal partners (CS, marketing, product, finance) is more credible and surprising than a generic 'stakeholders are happy' claim, and it quantifies something that most data-tool case studies leave soft.
