The case study anchors on a concrete before-state: a hiring freeze, a lost sales manager, and a modest 5% lift as the bar for success, which makes the 4x result land with real contrast. The story also earns a secondary Efficiency tag through the 33% onboarding reduction, but the headline leads with the funnel number going up so Breakthrough is the clear primary. The mechanism is explained well enough to be instructive: peer-to-peer call listening replaced shadowing, and Gong was extended beyond sales into product and market intelligence.
Set the customer's own stated success threshold (5% lift) early, then reveal the actual result (4x) against it. This technique makes the outcome feel earned rather than vendor-claimed.
