ABW's story runs through three consecutive vendor failures: ADP, then Paylocity, then Rippling. The problem was never HR complexity itself but the gap between what each vendor promised and what it delivered. That sequence does the persuasive work by showing Rippling as the option that closed that gap where the others could not.
The two-vendor failure ladder. Showing that the customer already tried the category-standard alternatives before arriving here makes the vendor choice feel earned rather than arbitrary.
