Why it works

The story earns its New Capability tag because the core claim is binary: agents could not drive 100% of infrastructure on Render, and now they can on Vercel. The efficiency numbers (10 PRs and 70+ commits per engineer per day, 4,000+ preview branches) are strong but serve as proof of the new capability rather than leading the framing. The piece also doubles as a product demonstration since General Intelligence is itself the use case for what they sell to customers, which gives the metrics unusual credibility.

Steal this

The dog-fooding angle: General Intelligence uses the same agent workflow internally that it ships to customers, so every metric about their own engineering throughput is simultaneously a live demo of the product.
