The story earns New Capability because provisioning an entire per-customer production stack (database, auth, storage, GitHub, Vercel) automatically was not merely faster than before but genuinely impossible without the Supabase for Platforms multi-tenant API. The mechanism is specific: agents use Supabase preview branches to rehearse migrations, enforce RLS lints, and require PR approval before touching production, which is a concrete workflow a reader could replicate. There is a mild coin-flip with Efficiency, since the CTO's quote about saving months and three to four hires points that direction, but the headline framing and core claim are about net-new ability, so New Capability wins.
The 'managed then graduate' framing: building a deliberate exit door so customers can take their Supabase project with them turns a potential lock-in objection into a trust signal and a selling point.
