The story earns its headline number by anchoring it to a concrete before state: specific queries taking over 5 seconds on Redis, now returning in milliseconds. The mechanism is clear enough to replicate: swap Redis Sorted Sets for Tinybird's managed ClickHouse layer, use the Events API for ingestion, and expose SQL queries as REST endpoints. There is a secondary New Capability angle in that Dub could not practically offer real-time user-facing analytics before, but the framing leads with speed, so Efficiency is the right primary tag.
Pairing a concrete before-latency number (5+ seconds) with a concrete after-latency category (milliseconds) gives the 100x claim immediate credibility without requiring a reader to do math.
