The story earns its headline number by grounding it in a concrete before-state: payments took 6-8 days per month and a named competitor, Bill.com, had already failed to solve the problem. The competitive switch from Bill.com gives the Tipalti win extra credibility because it shows the customer already tried an alternative. The secondary New Capability angle, specifically the newly unlocked ability to onboard international publishers, adds texture beyond pure time savings.
Name the failed prior vendor and state specifically what it could not do. It makes the switch feel earned rather than arbitrary and sharpens the before-state without needing extra word count.
